Temperature Resistance

TOPAS® COC, a high-performance amorphous ethylene copolymer, is available in grades with glass transition temperatures ranging from 65 to 180 °C. The Tg of TOPAS is controlled by the comonomer content:

Because TOPAS is amorphous, it maintains stiffness at elevated temperature far better than semicrystalline polymers such as PE or PP. TOPAS maintains high stiffness up to temperatures within 10 to 15 °C of its Tg.
